软接地和硬接地

软接地是指地线串接阻值较高的电阻器后再与大地相连。软接地的目的在于将对地电流限制在人身安全范围之下（通常为5毫安）。软接地所需要的电阻值大小，取决于靠近接地点的人员可能接触到的交、直流电压值。很多标准将软接地电阻值定为1兆欧。硬接地是指将地线直接接地或通过一低电阻接地。一般情况，硬接地用于静电屏蔽或仪器设备、金属体的接地。
